The companion app for South Florida's community code camp — where developers gather to learn, network and give back. Browse and select sessions, leave feedback, and build the day you want to attend.
South Florida Code Camp brings the region's technologists together for a day of learning, networking and giving back. The 2015 companion app helped attendees make the most of it — reviewing and selecting sessions, leaving feedback, and building a personal schedule of what they'd attend.
What makes it special is who built it: a team of fellow South Florida Xamarin User Group members, as a community effort — a real-world way for developers to sharpen their skills on something the whole community would use.
I led the technical effort for the Code Camp app — guiding the architecture and the volunteer developer team building it on Xamarin.Forms.
The app was built on Eventarin — a reusable event-app codebase created by our Xamarin User Group, so any community conference could get a first-class app without starting from scratch.
